Macquarie Bank
– Television Studio

Macquaire 1
Macquarie Bank set a new benchmark in broadcast environments with the first television studio to feature flip-chip COB LED technology. This advanced display approach delivers exceptional durability, uniformity, and performance — qualities that matter when the studio needs to look perfect from every angle. The LED installation was designed to support multiple camera positions, giving production teams the flexibility to create varied and dynamic content without being tied to a single shot.
By combining both straight and curved LED surfaces, the space maximises its visual potential, providing multiple background options that maintain depth and realism on screen. The panels offer outstanding colour representation, even at low brightness levels, ensuring the picture holds its richness and accuracy under any lighting conditions. The result is a broadcast-ready environment that pairs cutting-edge technology with creative flexibility, delivering reliable, high-quality visuals for every production.

Australian Film Television and Radio School
– Virtual Production LED

AFTRS 2
AFTRS 1
For the Australian Film Television and Radio School, authenticity in the virtual environment is everything. The project called for an LED solution built specifically for virtual production — capable of delivering flawless visuals that hold up under the scrutiny of professional film cameras. We supplied high-specification LED panels with a scan rate of just 1/8, ensuring smooth, artefact-free imagery even in the most demanding shots.
With high contrast and refresh rates, the system brings depth and realism to every frame, while its ability to present true 10-bit and HDR content means colour accuracy is second to none. Curved cabinets make the best use of studio space and allow for multiple camera angles without compromising the illusion. The result is a flexible, precision-engineered LED stage that gives filmmakers the creative freedom to capture stunning, believable scenes — reliably, take after take.

Flinders University – The Void
– Virtual Production LED

OpenDay
OpenDayMocap

Flinders University’s The Void is one of the most advanced Virtual Production (VP) stages in the world — second only to Martin Scorsese’s globally renowned VP Centre in New York. As a cornerstone of Flinders’ world-ranked Master of Virtual Production program, The Void blends Unreal Engine workflows, motion capture, and immersive LED environments to redefine how screen stories are made.

But delivering that vision required more than just technology — it required a partner that understood how to design and support a bespoke LED Volume, built for real-world cinematic production.

Dicolor Australia, in partnership with integrator ProAV Solutions, delivered exactly that: a solution-driven approach that combined top-tier LED engineering with years of relationship-first support. The result? A production environment that not only works — but sets the global benchmark for virtual storytelling in education.

The Solution

Dicolor Australia delivered a bespoke LED screen solution built around the MX191 P1.9mm 16 Scan cabinet, featuring:

  • 1200–1500 nits brightness
  • MBI5264 driver IC and 7680Hz refresh rate
  • A10s Pro receiving card tuned for high-fidelity video pipelines
  • Curved configuration for realistic parallax and immersion
  • Total screen size: 10.5m × 3.5m
