The global track record behind the LED we supply in Australia

From the Paris 2024 closing ceremony to the 2025 APEC Summit, the Dicolor platform performs on the world stage. Here is what that record means for Australian projects.

We are a small Australian team. The manufacturer behind us is not, and the projects the Dicolor platform turns up on around the world are worth knowing about, because they are the same product family we bring to installs here.

Start with the one a lot of people saw without knowing it. At the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a Dicolor UT transparent screen took centre stage at the Stade de France, a see-through display of around 337 square metres carrying content while the stadium stayed visible through it. Transparent LED at that scale, on that stage, with that many cameras on it, is about as demanding a test as the technology gets.

A year later came the 2025 APEC Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, where Dicolor was the visual technology partner across the event, with roughly 2,500 square metres of LED spread through the major venues. Different job entirely. Not one hero screen but a large, coordinated deployment that had to be right across the board, in a setting where failure was not an option.

Those are the visible ones. Behind them sits a manufacturer that has spent two decades building LED and nothing else, and that has the design awards to show for it. Awards are not why anyone buys a screen, but a sustained record of them tells you the research and the industrial design are being taken seriously year after year, not just marketed.

Here is why any of this matters to an integrator in Australia. It is the same research team, the same manufacturing, and the same quality control standing behind the fine pitch wall going into a boardroom in Adelaide or a control room in Melbourne. A screen does not need to be 337 square metres to benefit from the engineering that made that screen possible. When a platform has been proven at the top of the market, the reliability tends to flow down through the whole range.

That is the combination we think is worth having, and the world-stage projects are simply the clearest proof that the product underneath it can perform.
